Cancellation of Liverpool Show brings BSPS Mountain and Moorlands Championship to London

The Organisers of The London International Horse Show are delighted to announce that the Heritage British Show Pony Society’s Ridden Mountain and Moorland Supreme Championship sponsored by Le Mieux will now be in the London Show’s programme this year.

Last week the Society found themselves without a venue for the Championship when The Liverpool International Horse Show made the surprise announcement that they were cancelling their New Year’s Eve event.

The British Show Pony Society and The London International Horse Show are delighted to confirm that the Supreme Championships will now take place on Monday 20 December during the afternoon performance, with preliminary judging taking place in the morning.

Show Director, Simon Brooks‐Ward commented; “When BSPS approached us in their hour of need, we were delighted to be able to assist them and welcome them to ExCel as part of the London International Horse Show 2021. The Supreme Championship is a great competition, and we are looking forward to seeing all of the Mountain and Moorland supporters at the Christmas Show.”

The London International Horse Show has moved from Olympia to ExCeL London this year. ExCeL is a purpose built, state of the art exhibition hall which offers a large amount of flexible space, meaning that the Show Organisers are able to accommodate the Supreme Championship at the new venue.

BSPS Chairman, Pat Pattinson said “I am delighted and thankful that the Organisers of The London International Horse Show have welcomed us back, especially at short notice, and we can’t wait to be part of this prestigious and fun Show just before Christmas”.
