On Friday 19 December, Dressage takes centre stage with the Power & Precision installment of the LeMieux Masterclass Series, hosted by British Olympic Dressage rider and World Championship silver medallist Richard Davison. Appearing alongside Davison will be three other participants, the first to be announced is world-renowned dressage judge, Stephen Clarke. The Masterclass will showcase how to develop some of the key grand prix movements which require a high degree of collection such as piaffe, passage and canter pirouettes.

During the session Davison will ride his up-and-coming grand prix horse Intero (a 12-year-old gelding by Chippendale, owned by Davison and his wife Gillian), and Clarke will offer real-time commentary from the ground. During this, Davison will provide tips and advice to the audience to take home and try on their own horses.
The pair together will offer invaluable insights from their respective experience in the Dressage world. Davison has competed at the Show for over 20 years, during which he also represented Great Britain at numerous Championships, whilst as a 5* FEI judge, Clarke has officiated at countless international championships including during his time as President of the Ground Jury at the London 2012 Olympic Games and member on the judging panel at the Rio Olympic Games in 2016.

Davison comments: “I am thrilled to be back at London International to present this Dressage Masterclass. It’s such a privilege to work with Stephen; not only is he one of the most respected judges in the world but he explains everything so calmly and clearly, and in such a way his advice has immediate effect.”
Jonathan Goold, Event Director, adds: “The LeMieux Masterclass Series offers an exceptional platform for world-renowned riders such as Richard Davison to share their expertise with a passionate and eager audience. We are also incredibly honoured to welcome Stephen Clarke for the first time to the New Horizon Plastics London Arena. I am convinced that this Masterclass will provide a unique view on the sport both from a competitor and a judge’s viewpoint.”
Davison is excited to soon announce the final participants of this Power & Precision LeMieux Masterclass, taking place in the New Horizon Plastics London Arena on Friday 19th December. To purchase your tickets to London International Horse Show 2025, please click here.
