Soaring to Victory: Lottie Fry and Glamourdale Take FEI Dressage World Cup™ supported by Horse & Hound

Lottie Fry and Glamourdale completed a clean sweep in their victorious trip to the 2025 London International Horse Show, by adding today’s FEI Dressage World Cup™ Freestyle to Music supported by Horse & Hound title to their Grand Prix victory on Thursday.

Following an expressive and powerful test, the British pair received a score of 89.17% for their high-energy Freestyle to Music, set to a medley of songs featuring lyrics about flying, and including an airline-inspired voiceover from Lottie herself. It marked the second victory in a row in this class for Lottie and the 14-year-old KWPN stallion, who won here in 2024, and whose performance today earned a standing ovation from a delighted home crowd.

“He [Glamourdale] enjoyed it so much and the crowd obviously enjoyed it as well. It is an amazing feeling and especially to be in London with a home crowd and to feel that  support is incredible,” said Lottie.

“We came up with a super cool idea to have all flying songs, because he is Glamourdale Airlines — he flies in the arena so why not make the music to match him?

“This was one of the best tests he’s done and it was the most amazing feeling I’ve ever had. It was really fun to do it with that music in London so I can’t not be happy.”

Britain’s Becky Moody and Jagerbomb improved on their third place in the Grand Prix to finish second on 86.41% with a bouncy test set to a mix of festive soundtracks, while Norway’s Isabel Freese and Total Hope OLD occupied third with a mark of 81.69%.

“I loved doing the (Christmas) music,” said Becky Moody. “I just wanted everyone to have fun in there and for it to be a little bit different. We did pick the music more to entertain the crowd than necessarily to get the best score in the world.”

“Everyone wants to edge towards 90%, but we’ve got a bit of work to do. It’s what we want and absolutely what we need. It’s so exciting for the sport because we’ve got some phenomenal horses and riders, training and riding in a phenomenal way — and it’s so exciting to be part of that.” It was a successful day for the home team as Britain’s Susan Pape piloted Harmony’s Giulilanta into fourth place, while compatriots Charlotte Dujardin and Alive and Kicking  — second in yesterday’s Grand Prix — settled for fifth.
