THE OLYMPIA SHOPPING GUIDE: Part Three – Country and Lifestyle

The 250 shops at Olympia, The London International Horse Show are always a highlight of any trip to the event. Olympia is the perfect place to indulge in some of the best Christmas shopping about, and to help you find those perfect presents and sensational stocking fillers we’ve put together a handy guide to help you find exactly what you’re looking for this December. In Part Three, we’re picking out our favourite homewares, hampers and holidays!

The Winter Market Gourmet Gift Food & Drink area is one of the most popular parts of Olympia. If you’re stuck on a gift for something this Christmas, can we suggest assembling a mini hamper of delicious treats? Team Olympia’s favourites include delicious drinks from Oxton Liqueurs, particularly their adorable miniatures which work brilliantly as unusual baubles. We’re also big fans of Snowdonia Cheese who have an enormous array of cheeses flavoured with everything from whisky to herbs and cranberries, as well as traditional Cheddars and Red Leicester for the purists. If you’re still looking for a little something after, we’re fans of delicious Silent Pool Gin and Sloemotion’s delicious chocolate truffles.

If you’re really looking to wow this Christmas, head to the Stevenson Brothers stand. The master rocking horse makers have been in business for nearly four decades, during which time they’ve created replicas of some of the world’s biggest equine stars, including Valegro! Ask them about creating a rocking horse version of your favourite horse or pony.

If you’re searching for an experience with a similar wow factor, drop in at In The Saddle, Kara Creek Ranch, Polo Valley or Cumbrian Heavy Horses, all brilliant horse riding holiday experts who can arrange your trip of a lifetime! From Horseback safaris to riding up Machu Pichu, gaucho trails, ranching holidays, trying polo or vineyard tours, they’d make the perfect present for someone who has everything. If you are a non-rider Aero Legends book a flight in a spitfire, what a great treat for a special birthday.

Closer to home, a few creature comforts make for a beautiful present. We adore these gorgeous bit cushions from Philomena London and think that a stunning painted mug from Jessica Mendoza Art would be a brilliant stocking filler. Don’t forget your four-legged friends either! Snap up one of Doggy Bag’s microfibre drying bags and keep your pet happy and your home clean and dry this Christmas!
