At the time of qualifying I had owned Rupert for just under a year. It was quite a change with my previous pony only standing at 14.2 to going to Rupert who is a 17 hander. Riding has always been a hobby for me and I have only ever competed at dressage in local shows. I decided to try something new this season and try out showing. The combination of my dressage training from my past has helped me with not feeling too overwhelmed by a new discipline. Leading up to the south of England show which is where I gained my gold ticket, I had a week crash course in how showing works and to my surprise we somehow managed to win and qualify for a once in a life time opportunity. I would like to thank both my family and friends for all the help they have given me to help me get here.
