HEROS Racehorse Charity Named as 2026 Official Charity Partner

London International Horse Show has today announced HEROS Racehorse Charity as Official Charity Partner for 2026 – Supporting Retraining and Education. As the Show’s Official Charity, HEROS will have the opportunity to showcase its important work to the equestrian community at the Show, which takes place at Excel, London this Thursday 17 – Monday 21 December.

Founded in 2006 by Grace Muir, HEROS Charity is dedicated to providing bright futures for both horses and young people. Best known for its retraining, rehabilitation and rehoming of former racehorses, the charity has successfully helped hundreds of ex-racehorses transition into fulfilling second careers across a wide range of equestrian disciplines. In addition, HEROS delivers innovative education programmes, supporting young people – particularly those who may be struggling in mainstream education – through equine-assisted learning and vocational training opportunities.

Racehorses have long featured at London International with the BSHA Open Racehorse to Show Horse a regular fixture in the New Horizon Plastics London Arena showing line-up and this year there’s a new masterclass on Agria Super Sunday – Retraining Racehorses: inspiring audiences with the incredible journeys of former racehorses ,in partnership with RoR.

As the Show’s Official Charity, HEROS will benefit from a range of fundraising and awareness initiatives; these will include exposure through the Show’s communications channels, charity donations encouraged through ticket sales, fundraising opportunities during the event itself and support from the Show’s partners.

Grace Muir, Founder and Chief Executive of HEROS Charity, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be named the Official Charity of London International Horse Show. This partnership provides a wonderful platform to raise awareness of the work we do supporting former racehorses and young people. Horses have an extraordinary ability to transform lives, and every day we see the difference they make, both through our retraining programmes and our education initiatives. We are incredibly grateful to the Show for its support and look forward to engaging with visitors throughout the year and at the event itself.”

London International Horse Show Director, Jonathan Goold, added: “We are very pleased to welcome HEROS as our Official Charity for 2026. Their work embodies many of the values that are so important to our sport including horse welfare, education and creating opportunities for future generations. HEROS has an excellent reputation within the equestrian and racing industries and we are proud to support the charity’s efforts to give both horses and young people the chance to realise their full potential. We look forward to working together over the coming months and helping to raise awareness and funds for this important cause.
