BEVA’s Christmas Cracker Returns to London International Horse Show
The British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) will once again bring its renowned Christmas Cracker conference to London International Horse Show, offering veterinary professionals a unique opportunity to combine world-class continuing professional development with the excitement of one of the UK’s premier equestrian events.
Taking place at Excel London on 17-18 December 2026, this year’s event will focus on the challenging decisions faced by equine clinicians, exploring the points at which evidence, experience, ethics and competing interests intersect. Designed as an interactive forum rather than a traditional lecture series, the conference will encourage open discussion, debate and the sharing of real-world experiences.
The two-day programme is split into themes that tackle some of the profession’s most complex questions. Day one, Clinical Judgements: Between a Rock and a Hard Place, examines the difficult decisions encountered in sport horse practice, from orthopaedic cases to pre-purchase examinations. Day two, Ethical Judgements: Where Do You Draw the Line?, explores horse welfare, professional responsibility and ethical decision-making, featuring perspectives from both equine and human sports medicine.
A distinguished line-up of speakers will contribute to the discussions, including leading veterinary specialists, welfare experts and clinicians, alongside insights from Olympic riders and experts from the world of human sports medicine.
As part of the experience, delegates will be invited to a private drinks reception behind the scenes at London International Horse Show after the first day of the conference, providing the chance to network with colleagues and enjoy the festive atmosphere of the Show. Participants will also receive an exclusive 50% discount on tickets for the Thursday and Friday evening performances in the Main Arena.
Combining professional development with one of the highlights of the equestrian calendar, BEVA’s Christmas Cracker continues to offer a truly unique educational and social experience for veterinary professionals attending London International Horse Show.
