London International Horse Show is delighted to announce that two of Britain’s most successful event riders will headline this year’s highly anticipated Eventing Masterclass, taking place in the London Arena at the Show on Friday 18 December.
Gemma Stevens, who last week triumphed at Defender Burghley Horse Trials on Chilli Knight, is joined by World Champion teammate, Ros Canter, who is the current Mars Badminton Horse Trials winner, individual World silver medallist, reigning European champion and team Olympic gold medallist. The pair represent the cream of British eventing talent, and come to the Show off superb 2026 form.
The two stars will be hosted in the arena by British Equestrian’s Eventing Performance Manager, Dickie Waygood MBE, who will guide them through a session that explains to the audience the skills required to compete at the highest level of eventing. Dickie has played a pivotal role in the success of the British eventing programme in recent years, guiding athletes and teams to championship glory across the globe.
Using jumping exercises focusing on developing technique and building a partnership, the trio will explain how they approach preparation for their major events – and how they plan for any eventuality when tackling the top-level courses. The session will be illuminated by experiences from major championships and five-star competitions, with expert analysis and behind-the-scenes stories giving spectators an unmissable insight into what it takes to develop horses and riders capable of competing on the world stage.
Gemma Stevens is a fan-favourite at the London International, having previously competed in the Show’s iconic Puissance competition, and won the equally thrilling Six Bar in 2024. On returning to the Show in 2026, Gemma said:
“It will be a change coming back to the Show for eventing! It’s very exciting to take part in this Masterclass with Ros and Dickie, we’ve had an amazing year. London International Horse Show always attracts knowledgeable and passionate crowds, so it will be great to connect with them for this session.”

The Eventing Masterclass forms part of London International Horse Show’s packed schedule of world-class sport, displays and entertainment, which also includes an all-new Arena Eventing competition in the International Arena on the Friday night. Whether an avid eventing fan or a newcomer to the discipline, spectators can look forward to an insightful session featuring some of the sport’s most respected figures.
