Natasha Baker’s Para Dressage Showcase

Saturday 17 December, 10.15 – 11.00am
Hosted by multiple Paralympic gold medallist Natasha Baker OBE, the Showcase is a whistle-stop tour of all things Para Dressage!

With the help of world-class para riders Sophie Wells and Jemima Green, Natasha covers a 360 degree view of the sport. Beginning with a demo from a Grade II athlete focusing on precision and adaptability, Natasha will discuss the essential traits both horse and rider need to exhibit to excel. The Showcase will then focus on a closer look at the rider-horse-coach relationship so essential to success, and touch on key training exercises to level up your dressage performances, before the Showcase concludes with a fantastic finale from champion rider and Paralympian Sophie Wells.

The London International Riding Academy – Live!

Sunday 18 December, 9.15 – 10.00am
Now in its third edition, the London International Riding Academy is a yearly event day with the aim of joining up riders and connections of the Show with young people to educate and inform them about the range of career options open to them within the equestrian sector.

It’s hard to top the 2022 edition of the Academy Day hosted by famed Hollywood stunt producers Camilla and Dan Naprous! The siblings, who between them boast a credits list that includes Game of Thrones, The Crown, Star Wars, Wonder Woman and Harry Potter, invited Ebony Horse Club riders to attend The Devil’s Horsemen’s yard earlier this year to meet their riders and horses, have a look around their workshop, see their collection of saddlery and carriages and – of course – try their hand at a little stunt riding!

Join Dan, Camilla and Ebony Horse Club on Sunday morning to see what they’ve learnt – and learn first-hand all the secrets of training horses for Hollywood success!

Pippa Funnell’s Winter Survival Guide

Monday 19 December, 10.45 – 11.30am
Champion British Eventer Pippa Funnell MBE shares her secrets in this two-part Masterclass – aimed at keeping your eventing eye in the game through those long Winter months. Pippa will present jumping exercises, tips and tricks for the audience to take home and put into practice – all arena-based, and easy to take home and try!
Getting in on the festive action, Pippa will be assisted by social media star Megan Elphick of Elphick’s Event Ponies, who will be demonstrating exercises to improve that all-important cross-country phase – riding forward and accurately, the pair will keep your enthusiasm up even through a long wet January.
To complete the session, Pippa will focus on the next steps to take for those looking to move up the grades in the coming season, and provide an insight into the best use of winter training time – including how best to manage young horses and veterans conditioning over the winter.
